Increase of woman writers (1750 to 1820) for children's literature?

Why was there an increase of women writers in the late 18th century and early 19th century?

I think alot of it went along with women winning their rights as equals in the field of literature and this gave rise to opportunitys, and their were alot of schools starting up then, women teach small children better then men, this was just more opportunities for women to show their abilities.
