Three things:

1 Write very good effective title.

2 Only few links but very selective.

3 Effective key word in title.

I tried this on my site: AGRANEWS

I agree with the above suggestion, written by someone else answering this question, to write an article or two, and submit them to ezinearticles, articlecity and a whole load of other sites that make articles available to others in your field -- others are allowed to take your article and put it on their site, so this increases your inbound links across the web which means:

(a) Google will eventually improve their ranking of you, because Google loves incoming links and

(b) more and more people will see your link (and we hope, will click on it) as it will be there to see on more and more sites.

There are a lot of other great strategies for getting traffic.

I found a free book on this (downloadable, completely free); I'd put a link up for it here, but I'm not entirely sure how to do that, so you can simply email me at my Yahoo address ([e-mail], if it is not showing here anywhere) and I'll send it along to you.
