Indefinate leave to remain in the uk?

Question

I am about to apply for my HSMP extention. I have worked 2 years on the HSMP visa and hope to extend it again - which I believe will allow me to work in my job for another 2 years.

Am I able to apply for indefinate leave to remain in the UK after a total of 4 working years? AND

I am working as a locum therapist. Although I am full time, I am not permanent and was wondering if this may impact on me being accepted for a dual passport.

nope... I believe its 10 years for HSMP.

UK is booming right now, inspite of inflationary price rises in the shops.  We need all the people we can get and you are qualified in a high demand area.  The chances are very high that your leave to remain UK will be extended for an indefinate period - why not? If this happens, why not consider UK Citizenship at some point down the road?

To apply for a UK passport you need to be a UK citizen. Contact the Home Office, they will give you the answers you want.

You will get a 3 year extension on your HSMP visa now because the rules have changed.  The Home Office are no longer issuing 2 year extensions for HSMP holders who initially got 2 years.  The reason for this is because the rules relating to obtaining ILR changed as well and you must now spend 5 consecutive years in the UK on HSMP in order to get ILR.  So, once you get your 3 year HSMP extension the total time spent in the UK must be 5 years before you are eligible to apply for ILR.

The nature of your employment is not a factor that is considered when appying for citizenship.

to be able to apply for ILR, you should be living in uk for 5 years legally.then to be citizen you should at least reside in UK for 5 years( that includes 1 year on ILR). working part time or full doesn't matter...
