Indentify this bug for me - almost like a tick but indoors?

Question

I found a bug in my bed, and another in my bathroom that is

about 1/16 of an inch long

round body

tiny round head

6 legs

black/white/grey flecked (almost like a zebra pattern)

it does not jump and crawls very slowly.

at first it looked like a tick, but we keep a very clean house and live in the inner city.

any suggestions?

I looked up carpet beetle images and it appears that may be what you found.

In the city it is not likely a tick, but it could be. If it is a tick it will be difficult to crush. It will seem as if you need to use allot of force to crush it or you may be unable to crush it. Ticks can be carried into a house on people or pets. EDIT Carpet beetle on google carpet beetle photos looks like your description.
