I was always taught that Aryans were white people. Indians from India are darker skinned and all have dark brown hair and brown eyes. Aryans had various hair and eye colors. But I'm not completely sure. This is just what I've heard over the years.  Didn't Hitler what the world to be ruled by Aryans, white people with blonde hair and blue eyes?

The Aryans were a pre-Indian/Persian group of peoples, initially unrelated to the "Aryan Nation" described in n**i states except for some linguic roots. Likewise, the swastika is not a n**i symbol originally, it's an ancient symbol that is commonly used by eastern religions as a symbol of the divine and sacred. Supposedly Hitler saw these symbols on an old Christian temple and was facinated with them from youth, at least according to one account I read.

In any case, the Aryan group in pre-Indian history has little to do with the supposed divine race of blonde-haired blue-eyed peoples.

Among them Negrito, Mongoloid, Austroloid and Dravidian. The Negrito have physical features similar to people of Africa. The Mongoloid have Chinese features. The Austroloids have features similar the aboriginals of Australia. The Dravidians originate from the Mediterranean and they were the largest community in India. When the Aryans arrived in India their main contact was with the Dravidians and the Austroloids. The Aryans disregarded the local cultures. They began conquering and taking control over regions in north India and at the same time pushed the local people southwards or towards the jungles and mountains in north India.
