India - Changing LIC Insurance Policy Plan?

My brother has a money back Insurance policy plan from LIC taken 10 years back. Now we realise that this plan is not a suitable plan and there are better plans offered by LIC for our requirement. Is it possible to change the plan without surrendering the existing policy ? Thanks
