The hosts after ending the second day with 35 runs on the board for the loss two wickets , resumed their first innings in a bid to hammer a daunting total on the board to put their opposition under some sort of pressure - after Rajasthan had amassed 421 runs in their first innings.

The duo hammered 80 runs together in the fourth-wicket partnership as they aimed to place their side in a comfortable position.
However, the side suffered another blow when Yadav lost his wicket after scoring 42 runs. At the time of his wicket, Hyderabad had managed to post 121 runs on the board.
Rajasthan, then made a remarkable comeback in the match as they grabbed wickets at random, restricting their opposition from scoring freely. In the end, the fielding side restricted the hosts on a meagre tally of 144 in their first innings.
Dwaraka Ravi Teja, was the highest scorer from his side with 67 runs to his name.
