India- South Africa kick-off Champions Trophy 2013 – Cricket News Update 
 India and South Africa will kick-off the final installment of the Champions Trophy, ICC’s second most prominent 50-over tournament, which begins from June 6 next year in England. Australia, the defending Champions, will start their campaign against the hosts on June 8.
The most anticipated ties of the group stages include India taking on Pakistan and New Zealand battling http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, both of which will be hosted at Edgbaston, the venue of the final.
Eight teams have been divided into two groups; Group A includes Australia, England, New Zealand and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758, while Group B comprises of the two sub-continental rivals, along with South Africa and West Indies. Two teams from each group will progress to play in the semi-finals, at Oval and Cardiff respectively, with the final taking placing on the 23rd.
The next year’s edition will be seventh; however, it will also be the last after the ICC declared the intentions of moving towards a World Test Championship. The Championship was scheduled to be held in 2013; however, prior commitments with sponsors and broadcasters forced the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 to put the event on hold until 2015.
Pakistan and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749 remain the only teams not to have won the Champions Trophy, held every two years since 1998.
