The former Pakistani pacer was surprised to see Bhajji being overlooked by the Indian selectors for one after the other series. In an interview with a leading cricket website, Akram said that it is unfair to sack a cricketer of Harbhajan’s talent after just
one bad series.
"I can't understand why Harbhajan is out,” said the former fast bowling great of Pakistan while talking to media today.
“Players should be picked in the squad, keeping long-term plans in mind and Bhajji certainly fits the bill. He has been dropped after just one bad series in England, which I think is unfair because he is only 31," the veteran pacer added further.

Lord’s, which saw the pacer being ruled out of the whole of the England tour.

The 45-year-old former bowling all-rounder of Pakistan agreed that Ashwin and Ojha are doing good and are promising future aspect of India, however he opined that the youngsters should be used to compliment experienced Bhajji.
"Ashwin and Ojha are good no doubt, but they should be used to complement Harbhajan,” said the former left-arm pacer who is currently the bowling coach of IPL side Kolkata Knight Rider. “Given his vast experience, India can't do without Bhajji's class,"
he stressed.
