  1. I guess the companies keep the money for themselves.

I heard that Brazil is the worst in those regards though.  Just a very small percentage are very wealthy, there's a tiny middle class, but the vast majority are very poor.

  2. India is developing country. While it has made good progress in past decade or so....it is completely wrong comparing India to a developed economy.

    - India has the 2nd largest population in the world

    - There 3 major pillars of Indian Economy - Agricultural sector, Manufacturing Sector and Infrastructure

    - India has the largest urban middle class in the entire world. The middle class of india will contribute to growth in terms of consumption and income levels because here is where the effect of education and the job opportunities available in galore is taking a positive turn.

    - There is a huge chunk of uneducated population who have to resort to manual labour or other such tasks to earn their livelihood

    - And of course there is the great rural India - contributing to 60% of India's population

    - 60-70% of India still lives in villages with agriculture as the mainstay for their livelihood

    - Though India has taken steps to promote literacy in all stratas of society still the bottomost part of our population pyramid is mostly uneducated

    - Reach of education is still low in rural India. Govt is pushing for free primary education for all and specially in villages but the budget available for these spends is a constraint

    - Govt has incorporated a education cess on the incomes of individuals as well as organization, by which everybody paying income tax also has to pay a education cess of 3% which is then poured into spreading education into the interior India

    - Unless the rural India is brought to the level of urban India in terms of opportunities available for them and in terms of standard of living, India will remain an developing economy. The day this happens, is going to be most q***r economic happening......A huge consuming class, with willingness to spend, willingness to try new things, with low penetration levels for all kinds of consumer products. It will lead to a spurt in demand and supply with Indian industries at their wits end to cater to the demand.....

    - Indian manufacturing sector is currently the strongest pillar of Indian economy. Demand increase is seen internally but internationally India is competing with a far more matured player like China and others. Indians have a long way to go before we can complete with China on manufacturing front. Govts are invesing money to make this sector stronger.

    - Infrastructure: As a country porgresses, there are needs of building infrastructure to support the growing economy. Because India is growing faster than the pace of growth of infrastructure in the country hence the govt has to park a lot of funds for infra development.....

and all this while still running the economy on a day to day basis.....1992 was the yr India liberalized its economy, 16 yrs from there its at a scorching growth rate of 8%.....not bad for a under developed classified country about 2 decades ago with the largest growing population.

  3. Main things is corrupt governments. Other things contributing to it is uneven distribution of wealth.   The most of industries are concentrated in the hands of Ambanis, Tatas, etc. etc.  Most of the people in villages in India are still rely on farming, sudden changes in climate also contribute to poverty.Other things contributing to the poverty are illiteracy,  population and unemployable.

  4. population explosion , illiteracy and corruption are the root causes of the exisiting poverty in India

  5. Well, it has a lot to do with the government being 'greedy'.

If you look at it, bollywood is making more money than hollywood...

It should not be so bad in India at the moment.

An example of what India should of been like is the UAE (united arab emirates) where i am living at the moment. most of you would just call it Dubai.

Just 30 years ago, this was all desert.

But now it has the biggest, best buildings in the world, and still growing! the government gave all there local people a certain amount of money each month from the money they are earning from the oil, india could do the same, but they are greedy.

90% of locals who live here dont work, yet they drive the latest BMW's, mercedes and lexus'. If india thought about the way to distrabute money and gave equal opportunities (ie. schooling for all kids) i would say the ecconomy would be alot better.

    Hope this helped.

  6. It's just b'coz India is a country with very much over populatin & illiteracy. The huge industeris of India believe in their personal benifits only, & even the taxes collected from the people are wasted in constructing roads, highways ect...

According to me its the to change the law & let the old people retire and leave the responsiblity of our counter in the hands of youth generation.

  7. because poor people don't have education to do a job in industries . secondly , everything is mechanised . where will the people go . the government is not trying to help them bcause no funds . and it goes on and on . it is we who will have to do something .
