The former Test captain of Pakistan, Rashid Latif, has tipped Australia’s emerging pace sensation, James Pattinson, as the bowler to watch out for in the upcoming Test series between India and Australia, starting on Boxing Day in latter’s backyard.
The former Pakistani wicketkeeper said on Tuesday that the young Australian pacer, who made his Test debut in the recently concluded two-match Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754, will trouble the formidable Indian batting line-up the most in the four-match
Test series Down Under.
"From what I have seen of Pattinson so far in the Tests against New Zealand, I am convinced he will pose a lot of problems for the Indian batsmen and is likely to surprise them in the coming series," said Latif while talking to the media reporters today.

"Pattinson has pace and bounce and he appears to be a thinking bowler. Most of the Indian batsmen have done very well Down Under in the past but are now getting on with age and their reflexes are not the same as in the past. I think they will struggle against
Pattinson in particular," the former Pakistan skipper claimed.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Pattinson-c1653, the 21-year-old right-arm medium pacer from Victoria, was one of the three debutants who were given baggy greens on the opening day of Gabba Test, earlier this month. The rookie pacer impressed the selectors as well as the fans with an outstanding
performance in his debut Test series as he topped the wickets chart of the competition, claiming 14 wickets in two Tests at an imposing average of 14.00 and an economy rate of 3.22 an over.
The formidable Indian batting line up includes the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 and getting acclimatised to the Southern Hemisphere conditions.
But Latif reckons the only batsman who can counter Pattinson’s express pace is the hard-hitting http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Paul-Anthony-Hibbert-c81005 will continue with his attacking cricket and can upset the
rhythm of the 21-year-old Victoria pacer.
An Indian win in the four-match Test series was not on Latif’s cards as the former http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Afghanistan-c745 coach does not see depth in the Indian bowling attack.
Latif further added that the Indian selectors should have preferred the well in-form http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Z-Khan-c98379 who has just returned from a five-month injury layoff.
