India likely to miss key players for England series – Cricket News Update
India continue to struggle with injury problems, as several key players might miss the five-match One Day International (ODI) series against England, starting from Friday, October 14, 2011.
Sources close to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have confirmed that star player http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Sehwag-c2739 might not be available for selection in the upcoming series.
The Men in Blue had a troublesome tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 this year, as many players sustained injuries leaving the team vulnerable. This resulted in a humiliating whitewash defeat for the tourists, as they failed to win even a single match on the tour in format
of the game.
Opening batsman Sehwag did not take part in the series from the start, as he was recovering from a shoulder injury. The flamboyant batsman had to undergo a surgery before the English tour and started off his campaign from the third Test of the four-match
series.
However, the return of the hard hitting batsman did not help the cause for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, as the team continued its losing streak.
Adding insult to injury, Sehwag’s shoulder was not fully healed and had to rush back home for further treatment.

Apart from that, Tendulkar sustained a toe injury and was unable to take part in the ODI series in England. He has still not fully recovered and is likely to be out of action for at-least one month.
