The Indian selectors would have been satisfied with the team’s performance in the first Test of the series. Spinners Ojha and Ashwin were impressive. The latter was making his debut in the longest version of the game and ended up winning the man-of-the-match
award.
This would have been a dream come true for the young spinner, who will look to continue taking wickets in the upcoming games. If he does well in the remaining games, he might end up winning the player-of-the-series award as well.
On the other hand, veteran off-spinner http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Harbhajan-Singh-c61453 will now be under immense pressure, seeing a couple of young bowlers doing extremely well.
Harbhajan was unable to prove his form and fitness to the selectors and was ignored for the West Indian series. He has always been impressive, playing on home soil and would have been eagerly waiting to play against the Caribbean Kings, who do not play spin
well.

However, India have done well in the absence of their star bowler and will look to continue winning.
On the other hand, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 played really well in the opening Test and came close of winning it after taking a solid first innings lead of 95 runs. The team failed to make a solid impression in the second innings and was all out for 180.
They still had a good chance of winning the match, as the opposition needed 276 runs for victory.
However, the hosts batted well, winning the match by five wickets in the end.
