Former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly, has slammed the Indian team’s decision of including four fast bowlers in the third Test at Perth, and feels that the left-arm spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/PP-Ojha-c2198 should have been given a chance to showcase his skills.
India is currently having a torrid time in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, as they have lost the initial two Test matches of the series and the Kangaroos look all set to win the third match as well.
Considering Indian batsmen's disability against bounce and pace, Australia has kept fast tracks throughout the series. The pitch in Perth  is no exception; it has a lot of grass on it making it perfect for fast bowlers to dominate. Keeping this in mind,
both the teams have utilized their fast bowling talents to the utmost.
However, the former Indian captain disregards this approach by both the teams. According to him, spinners have had success in Perth recently, despite the conditions favouring fast bowlers. He further said that with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nathan-Michael-Lyon-c78822 and Prayan Ojha,
the Indian team would have been in a different game. Ganguly expressed his opinion that both http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 failed to read the pitch properly.
Ganguly said, "I feel both the captains read the pitch wrongly. There is still a lot of grass cover and they expected the ball to do a lot more than it did. That both captains picked four fast bowlers was a perfect example of what they felt about the pitch."
Australian opening batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DA-Warner-c1301 played a smashing innings in the third Test and hammered the Indian bowlers to all parts of the ground. Ganguly feels that situation could have been different if Ojha was given a chance because the Kangaroos have
struggled in the past against left-arm spinners.
"I was surprised with India's decision to field four quicks and I honestly felt Pragyan Ojha would have been a good choice. The Australians have not played left-arm spin well over the years and India should have had the variation in its attack," former left
handed batsman added.
Off-spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Ashwin-c2228 was tried in the initial two matches but he failed to make any kind of an impact.
