http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 take on Australia at Mohali: Australia’s tour of India, 2010
The Match
This is the first Test match of the two Test match series between India and Australia. The match will be played at the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 Cricket Association ground at Mohali and will start from Friday, October 1.
The last time these two teams had played a Test series, it was in 2008 in India. The Indians had won the four Test match series 2-0 and since then, have played some quality Test cricket to get to the top
of the ICC Test rankings. Australia, on the other hand, have not had the best of times and their Test ranking has plummeted to the number four position.
The Pitch:
Mohali is one of the best grounds in the country and it is not only the playing surface but also the way the practice facilities are. Given that the Aussies have been in the city for more than 10 days, they
will enjoy the track, which allow the ball to come on to the bat. This will continue to happen on at least the first three days before the sides will see that the ball spins more as the overs progress.
India:
India goes into the game with some fitness issues. For now, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh are all declared fit after minor knocks, but whether their performance will be up to the scratch
in this short series remains to be seen.
However, more importantly it will be the performance of the Indian bowling department that will be something to look out for. Harbhajan’s form, Zaheer Khan’s comeback from injury, Ishant Sharma’s pace
and the second spinner’s back-up will be the factors to watch out for from the Indian perspective.
The Playing Eleven:

Players to watch out for:
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, traditionally a strong bowling attack,
count.
Australia:
Australia will have one of their eyes on the Ashes, but will understand that the confidence they can derive from winning a series in India will hold them in great stead for the Ashes.
They had an excellent warm-up game, in which Shane Watson smashed a couple of centuries, while there were tons from Simon Katich and Marcus North as well. However, the battle in the Test match will be
a totally different cup of tea, and especially for North, who is still in his early days as a Test cricketer.
Ricky Ponting’s moderate run of form will be a worry for the Aussies.
The Playing Eleven:
Shane http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120, Marcus North, Tim Paine, Nathan Hauritz, Ben Hilfenhaus, Doug Bollinger, Mitchell Johnson.
Players to watch out for:
The manner in which the Indians handle spin bowling will be very important and hence Hauritz will be one to watch out for.
