India take one-day series against Australia after washout

Match referee Chris Broad inspected the ground three times during a three-hour delay before deciding to call the match off. The weather was clear enough but heavy rain on Saturday night had left the outfield too wet for play to take place, leaving India to take a 1-0 series win.
The first game, in Kochi, had gone the same way but and suffered a five-wicket defeat in the one ODI to be played, as Virat Kohli's century helped India to victory in Visakhapatnam.
The wash-out also meant this was the first time since the 1979-80 tour that Australia left India without winning a single game, including tour matches, after Australia lost the earlier Test series 2-0, with defeats in Mohali and Bangalore.
Australia now return home for a short limited-overs series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 before they prepare for the Ashes series with England, which begins with the first Test in Brisbane on November 25th.
