India - the future?

I'm really happy for India and it's advances in becoming the world's biggest middle-class. I'm looking even more forward to their advances in medicine and science. Where do you see India in the next 20 years? What advances do you think they'll make?

  1. Dear

Hopefully as per the previous President of India H E Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, India will become the No 1 economy in the world. The vision 2020 of him proving this and the economy is growing.

The other part will be always there, even in the great economies in the world like US or any other including great gulf countries we can see the road side beggers (natives-even though banned in some countries), but obviously if a country is growing the entire growth only shows once the country eliminate beggers/poverty by providing them good food/facilities/re locating them in good jobs... too

The eastern states, mostly the problem is non-educated people. Even in these times, the parents are not willing to give education to their children, this ignorance also causing the lack of good human resources from that states.

Anyhow, I expect India will become a Great # 01 economy of the world without poverty and with a good self reliance.

    Thx

  2. I see India as a Developed superpower in 2030 . India will strategically and economically control the world ... जय हिंद  !!!

  3. India has two distinct extremes currently.

The developed West and South, where the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamilnadu and Goa are growing economically and socially progressing as well. Infact the populations of these states are also decreasing.

The not developed and non developing Hindi heartland and eastern India, states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chattisgadh. and the main reason is population growth.

The average children born per couple in the western and southern states of India is two. the average children born in the the Northern and Eastern states is four.

Unless the birth rate in the North and east is brought down to 2 children India faces a population explosion, and a time will come when the developed states and regions will raise a voice of discontent and dissent if their population is overrun by un controllable population pressure from the non developed states.

  4. I'm hoping that India will be the world's business capital and the least corrupt place even if at the moment it might be really corrupt. For medical and computer technologie India will be the    best within 20 years and I'm confident.

  5. Well I think in the next 20 years, if we are alive India will be very advanced and they will have every kind of technology.

  6. India has the fasting growing population in the world. Sadly it does not have the infrastructure to support them all.

Unless this problem is addressed India in 2028 will resemble India in 1958.

  7. COUNTRIES have to represent something. They have to embody certain values and principles. That's the 'soft power' that nations exercise, even those with economic and military might. For a country like India that has neither, the soft power is even more important because global images are shaped by what a country represents, what it stands for.

those who believe India's current trajectory will take it to a seat at the global high table. True, our profile is higher thanks to software, our emergence as the world's backoffice, and a host of reasons, not all of them positive. But our brand remains hazy, its core values undefined. The world is more aware but less clear about what India stands for. Is it Hindutva, is it software and great technical skills? We're sending confusing signals.

india is currently at a crossroad.

the poors are getting poorer and riches are getting richer. its a common site where 5 star hotels are surounded by slums.and many problems surrounding india.such as - political instability, dirty politics, cast division, state divisions, religion dividation, terrorism, naxality, rallies, strikes, border issues, growing account deficit, inflation ...and the list is endless.

however, a major advantage of india is its huge stock of youth, which could take india to its dreamt destination in the next 20-30 years, but, will the dirty politics of politicians would gave them a chance,,,probably no. so they have to fight for themselves.

all the answerers of this question seems to be indian ( i am indian too) and are using their hearts rather than head.I do believe that there are real and serious lines of conflict and these are going to multiply in a society of our complexity as growth kicks in.
