India to lose deliberately against Pakistan, says India’s former Income Tax Commissioner
According to media reports, the second semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 and Pakistan is fixed and India is going to lose this encounter deliberately.
The claim was made by former Income Tax commissioner of India, Vishwabandhoo Gupta, while speaking to a private Indian news channel, where he added that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 and Co. will lose the semi-final against Pakistan because the match was fixed.
He said that the ground has been prepared for an Indian loss and this was the reason why India's batting had failed to perform in the last three matches of the mega event.
Gamblers all around the world have spent billions of dollars on an Indian victory against the Cornered Tigers in the epic fixture and ‘bookies’ were not prepared to lose out all that money.
While speaking to a private media outlet, Gupta stated, “I am telling you that India will lose the semi-final. It’s all a drama and this is the reason why Indian team is pretending that all of them are out of form.”
A popular bookmaker, Pradeep Agarwal, was also seen in the Indian dressing room in their group match against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Netherlands-c753, which has strengthened Gupta’s claims.
Indian cricketers in the past have been involved in match-fixing and former captain http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Azharuddin-c76823, Ajay Jadeja and Ajay Sharma faced bans from all kinds of cricket by the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI).
The semi-final between the arch-rivals has been dubbed as the ‘match of the century’ by cricket analysts all around the world, whereas some have rated it as the ‘Mother of All Matches’.
The traditional rivalry has generated huge interest in India-Pakistan matches and fans from both the nations do not accept anything less than a victory.
It is a very strong perception in the cricketing world that the gambling industry in cricket is controlled by Indian bookmakers.
Gupta took all the responsibility of his statement and admitted that it is a big claim but he has his links in the under-world and will stick to his words because of the credibility of his sources.
“Yes it is a huge claim but I have my sources in the under-world and according to those sources, India is going to lose against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755,” claimed the former Income Tax Commissioner.
Whenever India and Pakistan are up against each other in a cricket ground, there is immense hype in both the countries and a lot at stake for the teams. A player who performs well in such matches becomes a superstar over-night.
Fortunately or unfortunately, a cricket match between India and Pakistan is taken more as a war rather than just another game of cricket.
This is the reason why cricket fans from both India and Pakistan want this war to be fought cleanly, however the reports of involvement of the Indian team in match-fixing cannot be taken lightly and it might turn out to be an anti-climax of what is considered
as the greatest battle of the traditional rivals ever played.
