South Africa travels to India to take on the No. 1 ranked Test side in a two Test series this February, and it’s the home side who should enter the series as favourites. However, while India are notoriously difficult to defeat on the subcontinent they will have to cover for the absence of injured No. 3 batsman Rahul Dravid.
South Africa captain Graeme Smith has said “any time you come to India it is always very tough, so we probably start as underdogs,” and it’s a tag that might suit a team which has made a habit of choking when they are expected to win.
