The legendary Aussie leg-spinner, Shane Warne, has cited the lanky English pacer, Chris Tremlett, as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556, saying that Tremlett’s pace and bounce will be a massive challenge for the Indian Master Blaster during the
ongoing four-match series between England and India.
As the Lord’s Test has started, all eyes are glued on the Indian legend, watching whether he will be able to smash his 100th International century in the historic match at the home of cricket.
Warne believes that Tremlett will be the biggest threat for Tendulkar, since he has been enjoying phenomenal form these days. The Hampshire-born fast bowler displayed an excellent performance in the recent series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758, claiming 15 wickets in
three matches.
"One guy who looks to be thriving is Chris Tremlett. With his height, bounce and rising confidence he will be the player of the series. He will take the most wickets, will be an absolute handful and will knock Sachin Tendulkar over a lot too," said Warne.
The Aussie great however, explained that it will depend hugely on how the skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964, uses Tremlett in the series.
Asking Tremlett to bank on short-pitched deliveries against the Indian batsmen, Warne, meanwhile asked Strauss to bring the gangly pacer on attack for not more than five overs, since the 29-year-old paceman can provide him with breakthroughs on regular intervals.
Furthermore, the leg-spinner made it clear that if the English bowling attack fails to grab Tendulkar’s wicket early in his innings, the Indian superstar will surely go back to the pavilion after crossing the three figures.
“You have to approach Tendulkar with the aim of dismissing him for lower than his average. If you get him out for lower than 50 you can count that as a win and it takes a bit of pressure off bowlers who can focus too much on trying to knock him over as soon
as he walks to the crease," shared the former Australian cricketer who is the second highest wicket-taker in the history of Test cricket.
Although, Warne has already predicted England’s victory by margin of one game, he forecasted an exciting clash since both sides will look to seal the top position in the rankings.
