England’s lanky pacer, Chris Tremlett, is certain that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 will seal a comprehensive 4-0 victory in the ongoing clash against India.
Tremlett’s comments came after the talks about http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TT-Bresnan-c2711 retaining his position for the next contest, since the gangly pacer is yet to find 100% fitness.
Leading the series 2-0, the Poms are all set to take on the World Champions in the crucial Edgbaston Test, which will be played from August 10 to August 14, 2011.
Tremlett stated that he is hoping to be available for the third Test as he has been feeling a lot better. However, he claimed that the Englishmen will definitely whitewash the series despite his absence in the playing XI.
“We need to concentrate on the next game and then what comes after that will be our next challenge. But even if it’s still a long way away, we hope to be in a position to win 4-0,” said Tremlett.
After playing a vital role in his team’s convincing triumph at Lord’s, the 6-feet 7-inches tall fast bowler missed the Trent Bridge encounter following a back injury.
Replacing Tremlett, Bresnan grabbed the opportunity with both hands, playing a pivotal role in England’s win in the second game by claiming his first five wicket-haul in Tests.
Despite admitting that he is eager to return to the side, the gangly pacer shared that he is delighted to see Bresnan doing an excellent job for the team’s glory.
“The great thing is that someone like Bressie can come in and do a good job, and that makes you more hungry. I am disappointed not to have played at Trent Bridge, but I feel positive about getting back,” added the Hampshire-born paceman.
The 29-year-old has been a great performer for England since his debut in 2007, picking up 49 wickets in 10 Tests. Although, the injuries have been a concern for Tremlett over the last few months, he asserted that he has learnt the art to deal with the odds,
adding that he will not let injuries affect his bowling if he makes his way to the remaining two matches.
