India v England 2011: http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013’s 4-0 victory in Tests – Cricket News Update
England’s off-spinner, Graeme Swann, is confident about his team’s comprehensive performance in the next two Tests, claiming that the English side will seal the series 4-0 by hammering the Indians in the
remaining couple of games.
Swann’s comments came after he was declared fit for the crucial Edgbaston Test, set to be held from August 10 to August 14, 2011. The off-spinner picked up an injury after being hit on his hand while batting
in the last game. However, recent investigations have revealed nothing to worry about.
After thrashing http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 at Lord’s and Trent Bridge, the Poms are currently leading the series 2-0. Appreciating his team for displaying superb performance in the previous games, Swann stated that the Englishmen
are all set to whitewash the series since the players’ confidence is on a high.
"A lot of things have to go in our favour, but if they do, it'll be a nice thing to aim for. We're the only team who can win it 4-0. The way we've played in the first two games, they've not been perfect
performances and we've still won them very well. If we can iron out those areas and do everything else right, we're going to be a very difficult team to beat," said Swann.
Just a couple of wickets at an average of 105.50; the only matter of concern for the attacking off-spinner is his ordinary performance in the first two matches. Yet, he promised a fine show on the Edgbaston
track, which is expected to assist him, adding that he will have to get his act together and support the pacers who led the show in the earlier contests.
Talking in a lively mood about his not-so-impressive bowling in the previous two games, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nottinghamshire-c826 spinner joked, "When I'm on my own for six hours, my mind goes to some very dark and dodgy places.
At one point I was thinking if I could possibly murder the guy in the crowd who was shouting abuse at me and get away with it.”
