England’s wicket-keeper batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RS-Bopara-c2373, saying that he wants to see the middle-order batsman playing a permanent role in England’s setup for the longer version
of the game.
In the crucial third Test, which is scheduled to be held at Edgbaston from August 10 to August 14, 2011, Bopara will be making his comeback, as a replacement for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/IJL-Trott-c1576, who failed to prove his
fitness following a shoulder injury.
It will be Bopara’s first Test outing after a long gap, as he remained unsuccessful in earning a call after playing his last game in 2009. In his 10-Test-old career, Bopara holds an average of 33.46,
while he is a handy option with the ball as well. Yet, his inconsistent show has never let him cement his place in the national team.
Terming Bopara as one of the most gifted players he has ever linked-up with at the highest level, Prior cited the next game as a massive opportunity for the right-handed batsman, as Bopara’s fine performance
against the World Champions will push national selectors to consider him on a regular basis.
