http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820, October 23, 2011.
The tourists have made two changes to the line-up with bowler, Jade Dernbach being axed after some below par performances with Stuart Meaker, handed a debut. Also, off-spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Scott-Borthwick-c2466 being preferred.
However, there is still no room for middle-order batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/IR-Bell-c1597, who has yet to feature for the Poms. The management has gone with the same batting top seven with Samit Patel’s important contribution in the last one dayer helping him retain his place.
The hosts have also made one change to their team with youngster Varun Aaron finally given his much awaited debut. The player, who travelled with the team on tour of Poms failed to get a reckoning, however, with injury sustained by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Umesh-Yadav-c94625 in the previous
match, it has given Aaron to finally wear the sky blue shirt.
The pitch inspection done will be a positive one for the Poms fast bowlers, who have been pretty vocal about the dead tracks in the competition, which has offered them no assistance. The pitch has a nice layer of grass covered, which might help the bowlers
in extracting some bounce and pace.
However, it will still be a good track to bat on as the ball will come nicely on to the bat, which will make stroke play easy.
The visitors have already lost the series 3-0, and will be looking to restore some pride before they get back to England. A lot has been hyped about the recent conducts of both the sides, which led to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TT-Bresnan-c2711 getting fined by the match referee.
One still expects a fiery encounter with the odds still titling towards a Men In Blue win.
