Pakistan will take on India in the second semi-final in Mohali on Wednesday which promises to be one “blockbuster” of a competition between the two arch-rivals of International Cricket.
Every cricket fan, irrespective of the team, is dying to see the teams in action and are desperately hoping to watch some competitive cricket at the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 Cricket Assocation Stadium.
India is one team which has performed well in the competition and has won 5 of the 7 matches in the 2011 edition of the mega event. The Men in Blue have got some good bowlers in their lineup and these bowlers are quite capable of giving a tough time to the
Pakistani batsmen.
Zaheer Khan would definitely be the most important strength of the Indian bowling lineup and is quite capable of dismissing the Pakistani batsmen for a low score. The Mohali wicket is expected to give some assistance to the seam bowlers that will give an
edge to the fast bowlers in the early overs of the innings.
The left-arm pacer is expected to hold the trump card for India against Pakistan and his spell could easily proof to be the difference. Zaheer has been bowling with a lot of aggression in the World Cup and has taken 16 wickets in the tournament. He has maintained
a superb line in the competition and knows the art of taking early wickets in his spell.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khan-c71319 could bowl a good accurate length on the off stump side and could temp the Pakistani batsmen to play some risky shots in their innings. Pakistani batsmen would also be aware of taking their team to a good start in the innings and could easily fall victim
against his swinging deliveries.
His accurate length is not that easy to tackle in the early overs and there are chances that batsman like Kamran Akmal might end up playing some uppish shots in the cover region. Zaheer’s basic strength would be his ability to bring the ball into the batsmen
and he could easily trap Mohammad Hafeez leg before for a low score in the match.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 would be scoring rapid runs in the match.
Harbhajan Singh is another bowler of prominence within the Indian lineup and has a great deal of tendency of holding one end tight during the middle overs. Though, Harbhajan has not taken a lot of wickets in the ICC World Cup 2011, but he remained pretty
economical during the middle overs and has not given much lose stuff to the batsmen to bowl at.
His role would also be important and he would be required to maintain a decent line on the off stump side. If Harbhajan gets successful in bowling a good line in the semi-final, then he could easily restrict Pakistan from getting 20 or 30 extra runs in their
innings. Though, Indian middle over bowlers have not bowled badly in the tournament but they would be playing against the Pakistani batsmen who have a good idea of their style of bowling.
There is a good chance that batsmen like Umar Akmal and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 could easily score some major boundaries off bowlers like Yuvraj Singh and Munaf Patel in their innings. The home crowd would be a huge factor for the Indian bowlers and it would provide
them with a great opportunity to bowl with a lot of venom against the Pakistani batsmen. Pakistani batsmen can falter under pressure and Indian bowlers would have a great opportunity to apply excessive pressure on Pakistani batsmen during tough the game.
