India v West Indies 2011: Bowling coach http://www.senore.com/Cricket/I-Sharma-c1566’s revived form – Cricket News Update
After staying out of International cricket for a while due to injury, the lanky Indian pacer, Ishant Sharma, made a strong comeback into the side and impressed everyone with his excellent performance on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760.
Ishant’s recent performance was not only satisfactory for himself but also for the Indian bowling coach, Eric Simons, who expressed his delight over his fantastic return to the International arena.
The 22-year-old fast bowler emerged as the top-wicket taker in the second Test, which ended on July 2, 2011. Grabbing six wickets in the first innings and four in the second, Ishant claimed his fist 10-wicket haul in Test cricket.
Simons described that the Ishant, along with improved fitness level, returned to International cricket with positive changes in his bowling technique.
Citing the improved bowling action and wrist position as Ishant’s key to success in the ongoing Test series, Simons said, "From a technical perspective, what I saw of him in the IPL gave me a lot of confidence. His body position forced
his grip to change. Now he's more upright, and his wrist is in a better position. Only when you are confident about the technique and start bowling at the pace you are capable of, you can be at your best.”
According to the reports, Ishant is likely to miss the upcoming third Test due to the injury he picked during the practice session.
The fitness issues among fast bowlers have always been a concern for Team India. While the Men in Blue reached West Indies without their key bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MM-Patel-c1987 was another massive blow for the tourists.
Expressing grief over Munaf’s recent fitness problems, the coach shared, "I am disappointed about Munaf's injury here. His accuracy, particularly in Tests, would have been an advantage. We have seen how integral Munaf has become to
our one-day attack.”
Commenting on India’s upcoming high-voltage Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013, the former South African first-class cricketer claimed that the Indian side has a decent fast bowling attack which can do well against the world-class English
batting line-up.
