The third Test of the ongoing three match series between West Indies and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 is set to be played at Windsor Park, Dominica from July 6 to July 10, 2011.
While the Caribbean Kings excluded the veteran, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ramnaresh-Ronnie-Sarwan-c83880, the Indian side may be forced to make some crucial changes in the line-up since two key bowlers, Ishant Sharma, and, Praveen Kumar, picked up injuries just before the final clash.
Playing football during the practice session, the two pacers collided with each other, getting themselves injured ahead of the third Test.
Ishant and Praveen have been the two most successful bowlers on the tour as both bowlers displayed fine performances in the last two Tests. Ishant came out as the best Indian bowler in the last match, claiming 10 wickets in the game.
It will be a huge blow for the tourists since they are already missing their seasoned campaigner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Z-Khan-c98379, on the tour. However, the team management is hopeful that both pace men will regain their fitness before the game since their injuries are not
serious.
Commenting on Ishant’s injury, the Indian batting powerhouse, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Dravid-c2229, dismissed the apprehension of Ishant’s exclusion from the final playing XI, saying that there is nothing serious with the injury and the Delhi-born bowler will be ready to fire before
the game begins.
"It's just a small bruise, a little bit of a cut may be, but apparently it's not very serious. So it should be okay. I think it's a small cut underneath the eye", said Dravid, who smashed a half-century in the second innings of the last match.
The home is side one-down in the series and the third Test will be a make-or-break situation for the Caribbean Kings. The game is also crucial for the tourists as they will look to finish the tour on a winning note before going to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 for the upcoming
high-voltage Test series.
A seaming and bouncy track is expected at Windsor Park Stadium, but with the omission of Ishant and Praveen, India’s chances to seal the series 2-0, will be weakened.
