The lanky Indian pacer, Ishant Sharma, has regarded the just-concluded second Test between India and West Indies as the most memorable match of his life, since he produced his career-best figures in the crucial encounter, which ended in a draw, on July 2,
2011.
The Delhi-born pacer emerged as the best bowler for India, grabbing 10 wickets for just 108 runs in the game. Ishant maintained an immaculate line and length throughout the contest and did not let the Caribbean Kings settle-down at the crease during the
rain-affected five-day match.
While he claimed six wickets in the first innings, he sealed his first-ever 10-wikcet haul in Test cricket by picking up four important wickets in the second innings.
Ishant termed sticking to his strengths as the key factor behind his excellent performance at Kensington and stated that he will never be able to forget this match in his life.
"I can't forget this match as I have never bowled so well in a Test match. The wicket had uneven bounce but once you stuck to the right areas it yielded results," said Ishant.
