India v West Indies: 2nd Test – India seal series with an innings victory

Today’s victory means that India have now won the series by 2-0 and even if they go onto lose the final game, the overall result of the series will remain the same.
West Indies will be extremely disappointed with the result of this Test, as they played poor cricket overall.
The team fought hard in the first Test of the series, but lost it by five wickets in the end. They would have been confident of at least putting up a solid fight in this game as well, but ended up losing it by an innings.
The main reason behind West Indies’ loss in this match was a dismal first innings performance, as the entire team was dismissed for 153 runs.
Although the batting conditions in Kolkata were perfect, the tourists failed to capitalise. They played irresponsible cricket and were forced to follow on, as the Men in Blue gained a first innings lead of 478 runs.
