  1. you have plenty of time for a visa.

As for vacinations you will be advised to take most of what you mention, however if you are carefull there may be no need.I have spent about  year out there with no vaccinations and have been fine. Its our Nanny state that says take this and that, purely (i would suggest) to cover themselves just in case you contract something.

    Hope this helps

  2. At the very least, you'll need to be current with all the vaccinations provided simply for living in the UK e.g. Tetanus, Diptheria, Polio.

The NHS can give further information on what it recommends UK subjects residing in the UK to be vaccinated on.

You probably want to apply for a visa closer to the time as a single entry visa is only valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Speak to the Indian High Commission for further information.

The UK Foreign Office gives contact details of all foreign embassies in the UK. It also offers travel advice on the countries around the world.

  3. You are not at all late to apply for Visa and taking vaccinations as still there are more than 3 months for your proposed travel to India.
