This video has people like Mark Waugh discussing, that india vs australia is now bigger than the ashes.

However Mark Waugh said "india still need Sachin Tendulkar especially in the one dayers, as he is the "Ultimate Cricketer" he also goes on to say, Without Tendulkar they are no where near as good.

Is this a True reflection on why india hasnt done well in the Asia cup and kiptly cup, because The little master wasnt there?

Can india challenge Australia in ODIs without Sachin Tendulkar?

  1. I guess so, Sachin Tendulkar's presence in the team brings so much maturity and confidence in the team.

I think India can still do it without Sachin Tendulkar.

  2. Ashes is important for Australia because Australia can win there whereas against India they will be completely wiped out.

After debacle Of Asia cup, India has grown more stronger and this will be concern For Australia who can get white-washed or lose series against India.

  3. Mark Waugh wasn't speaking for this Okker, mate!

The old enemy's still the best.

  4. Yes, I believe India can. But it'll take time. Sachin Tendulkar is the 'Ultimate Cricketer' but he can't be around forever. We've got pretty exciting talents but they've got to be well bred. This is when Sachin would be extremely useful even if once in a while his batting lets us down. His experience would be a huge resource for talents like Raina, Rohit and others. For the time being, we don't desperately need Sachin but yeah could do with him.

  5. Yes - there is nothing live one person can do for a victorious side - its only not sachin - the remaining 10 players are also performing their duties - So with out sachin also India can challenge Australia in ODIs

  6. Indians are hot blooded little things, deeply passionate about the game, England as with most things in life have been on a long downward spiral (ie, their PATHETIC). The little Indians do need to gain some respect and stop crying like babies and accept the fact that it will take a while to topple the World Champions!

  7. it is not bigger then india v pak.. these all hype created by marketing companies of India

  8. Thats right. Though Indian team has alot lot of talented youngsters coming through but they are inconsistant & they need an experienced campaigner like Sachin in the the team to mentor & guide to win games regularly against a team like Australia. Since CB series India have not quite been able to carry the same form so till the time Yuvraj & Dhoni gets more matured & gets called "seniors" themselves, Sachin is ofcourse a very important member.

  9. NO, the ashes will always be big for Australia, it's a real rivalry of a contest within the contest, a test of skill between England vs Australia, while India vs Australia is just a dirty and word of mouth war,  Yes India needed Tendulkar, he can win games for the team, that's what happened during CB sereis.

  10. He is absolutely correct.............

Because In th comonwealth series finals Sachin only scored more runs and anchoured the innings in both the finals..........

None of the other  top order had averaged above 20 or 30 runs in the finals.......

And also no one did Sachin's anchouring innings in the Asia Cup or Kitplay Cup finals......

    I agree with Mark Waugh.........

  11. While Sachin is a great player and his absence will be defenitely felt, one must remember that India have won many matches even when Sachin was not playing.  Hence, I do not think that India lost the kitply final and Asia Cup just because Sachin was not playing.
