India vs England – 4th Test – Match Preview
With several careers on the line, India meet England  for one last time to conclude their two year-long Test rivalry at the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Vidarbha-c860 Cricket Association Stadium, Jamtha, Nagpur, tomorrow, December 13, 2012.
What was supposed to be a golden era for the Men in Blue cricket, following the World Cup triumph last year, has quite astonishingly turned out to be their worst, and a defeat in the final game will surely put an end to an impressive home run.
Once invincible at home, the Indians are now struggling to fend off the touring challengers, for whom this is the final frontier, conquering which has been their aim since 1984-85. As it stands, England are certainly on course to make history and put their opponents into doing some serious soul-searching.
The defeat in the recent Test at Kolkata seems symbolic, where the Indians over the past have found hope in testing times but even Eden Gardens proved that the current Indian setup is in dire need of change.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 won two Tests in India since 1984-85.
To say that the Indian camp is at an all time low would be an understatement. Their most successful skipper is under scrutiny for not looking over his shoulder but pointing the blame on others, and looking for excuses.
Their greatest batsman, who is worshipped, has been forced to make a final call on his future. Having already lost http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Thomas-George-Burrows-c93472 causality, and sadly, he doesn’t have much other than past glory to defend himself.
The ineffectiveness of the batting order is baffling, where their most senior batters do not remotely come close to matching http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AN-Cook-c1026’s individual tally. The bowlers remain uninspiring, and overall the team is short of self-belief.
The selectors have axed http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashok-Dinda-c1098 will get a game, despite the presence of Parwinder Awana.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/I-Sharma-c1566 missing out.
For England, it has been a series of success, and one certainly can attribute that to their marvellous skipper. He’s no Sehwag, no http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CH-Gayle-c1221 but Cook certainly knows how to score runs. The left-hander has scored centuries in all matches in which he has stood as captain, and Indians have simply found it impossible to get him out.
If he gets his way, England are surely going to make history in days to come. They will be eager to see the middle-order, barring http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806, to score some runs which will certainly put the hosts down and out.
Their attack is in sublime form, despite injury concerns hanging over http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501 will be looking to keep on their impressive run.
Thankfully, the pitch has not made the headlines, but that further suggests that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 may get his wish granted. A rank turner is expected as India look to salvage some pride, and fend off their opponents from conquering their backyard.
