After hours of waiting, the second One Day International (ODI) between England and India finally began after the game was reduced to 23 overs. After winning the toss, England invited http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 to bat first under wet and moist conditions, however, the tourists
who desperately need a win in this match were not taken aback by the decision and came out, aiming to put enough runs on the board to grab their first victory in the tour this summer.

It was the contributions made by Rahane and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SK-Raina-c2539 which helped India post a formidable total of 187 runs in 23 overs. Rahane clobbered 54 runs off 47 deliveries while Raina smashed 40 runs off 19 deliveries as the two batsmen showed superb class against
the English bowlers. However, none of the batsmen could go on to score a century
Dravid also played a handsome innings of 32 runs as he brought stability in the middle-order and established a stiff resistance against the opposition.
Meanwhile, from England http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501 exhibited tremendous form as they bowled extremely well against the Indians. Both bowlers grabbed three wickets which prevented the Indians from scoring even a bigger total as the Indians at one
point were dominating the game and it appeared as if they were going to take the match away from the hosts by posting a humongous score.
Anderson was the most economical bowler from England as he conceded only eleven runs in his three overs and also grabbed the handy wicket of Patel.
It will now be interesting to see how England respond to India’s total when they come out to bat, aiming to grab their first win in the one-day series.
