India will play their natural game in the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka says Suresh Raina - Cricket News Update
India’s star batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SK-Raina-c2539, believes that his side will play its natural game in the fourth match of the ongoing five-match One Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka, on Tuesday, July 31, at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Talking to newsmen in the pre-match conference, he said, “We will look to play our natural game. We have three more games to go, two one-dayers and one T20. We are looking good as a team and if you see we had a plan to score four- five hundreds as individual batsmen and we have done it twice. Virat (Kohli) and Gautam (Gambhir) scored hundreds, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Sehwag-c2739) fell short but, our goal is yet to be reached. The tour is yet to finish."
Raina, who played an unbeaten knock of 65 runs to help his side take lead in the series by winning the third match, revealed that India would go into the fourth encounter without pressure. According to him, it is the target of the batting unit to achieve certain individual goals during the Sri Lankan tour.
Regarding his performance, the middle-order batsman said, “For me when you get 15-20 overs I have to bat till the last ball. I have to bat during the batting powerplay, so I need to play my shots as well as take singles and twos.”
Praising skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028, the young batsman revealed that while playing alongside Dhoni, he can take the risk of going for the big shots because he knows that if he loses his wicket, Dhoni would be there to get the team home.
He also commemorated the performance of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Irfan-Pathan-c1601 in the third fixture, as the all-rounder provided a potent support to Raina at a time when the game was hanging in balance.
Had it not been for Pathan, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 might have restricted India from successfully chasing down a tally of 287 runs needed to win.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 are now leading the series by 2-1, and Tuesday’s game would be Sri Lankan’s last chance to come back in the tournament.
