Indian F1 circuit in Delhi will be ready for Indian Grand Prix according to organisers
Recent reports revealed that the organizers of the Indian Grand Prix believe that the venue will be ready before its deadline and that it will be ready for its inaugural race, which is expected to take place this year in October.
It is expected that the track would be known as the Jaypee Group Circuit and it would be 5.1 kilometres long. The circuit is being constructed over 100 acres of land in the state of Uttar Pradesh and according to organizers, the track would be completed
according to its plan but some of the recent visitors claim that after evaluating the current conditions of the track, it is far from ready.
According to Dr. Walter Kafitz, the grand prix will take place as scheduled and the organizers won’t have to go through the problems the organizers of the Korean Grand Prix did last year.
The Indian Grand Prix is scheduled for October 30, 2011. Kafiz is now working on the Indian Grand Prix’s project after 15 years as the head of the German circuit Nurburgring.
“It is a wonderful circuit for spectators as well as for the drivers”, said Kafitz, adding rumours of construction delays are not true.
He believes that the track is going to be more than ready for its inaugural race and he claims that the people won’t get to see a repeat of Delhi’s controversial 2010 Commonwealth Games.
“There will be no South Korea-type situation with us”, he said in a reference to the calamitous preparations for last year's inaugural grand prix in Yeongam.
Currently, the 2011 Formula 1 season is in its second week, with the first grand prix concluding in Australia, and it seems that the Red Bull Racing Team is miles ahead of its rivals in terms of pace.
However, it is believed that Ferrari, Mercedes GP and McLaren are going to give them a tough time in the coming race and in the end it is going to be a tough competition for titles.
The Indian Grand Prix is expected to be one of the final couple of races of the season.
