Indian Restaurant in London?

I am looking for an Indian restaurant in London with floor seating (on rugs or cushions).

If anyone has seen the film 'Along Came Polly' I am looking for an Indian restaurant like the one Polly (Jennifer Anison) is seen in.

Does anyone know of a restaurant like this?

Thanks

  1. The only one I am aware of that does this was Yatra in Dover Street, off Piccadilly.  It used to have great food but sadly now is merely pleasant (the chef went to Tangawizi in Richmond).  Worth checking if still have this seating style, which I have to say I always found uncomfortable. For very good Indian food without the cramp try either Deya, Mintleaf or Haandi in central London.  Contact details and reviews are on my web site below.

  2. Try the, Bombay brasserie, next to the bailey's hotel on courtfield road kensington, opposite gloucester road tube station, not quite sure about the floor seating arrangements though,  but the food is second to none.
