  1. Brar Sweets at Islington and Albion have excellent food. They make awesome Channa Masala. Not expensive at all.

  2. I am a former chef and go to a number of Indian buffets in town, there are a number along Gerrard St west of Broadview St, the Indian Flavour has reopened on Dundas, West of Bay, the other the first person mentioned are all good and reasonable, lunch will range $6.99-8.99 and a dinner will go for $8.99-10.99, but remember these are like the Chinese places all you can eat, but with the free or available naan it is not as easy to load up, the dishes have more body and substance to them, but all are a good deal and bargain for what you get.

  3. Here are a few options, all of which I've been to and that have really just fantastic food:

    http://www.bombaypalace.ca/ (Brampton)

    http://www.biryanihouse.ca/index.html (Downtown) (Have Buffet)

    http://www.kathmandurestaurant.ca/ (Downtown) (Have Buffet)

http://www.thesiddhartha.com/index.html (Little India) *** GREAT FOOD!!

  4. The 2 best places I know of are around Scarborough.

    - Shahi Karahi around the Orton Park area.

    - Embassy restaurant Finch and McNicoll.

Take your pick and enjoy your meal.

  6. The Host on Prince Arthur and Avenue Road is excellent.  Can't say it's cheap but it's good.

  7. Mt. Everest on Bloor just west of Spadina (south side) is great.  Good food, good prices, and the lunch buffet has lots of choices and is very reasonable.  Enough meat dishes, too!
