Indian Ringneck...? Need Some Advice?

Hey people

I have about 6 indian ringnecks, and my oldest couple that i keep in the house, the male has just died, they are pretty old, now the female latino is acting really weird? and even tried to attack her dead mate

is this normal?

  1. Birds that loose their mates sometimes can do pretty wierd stuff. Sometimes they grieve, or get angry or aggressive. Indian ringnecks don't mate for life. So maybe you may want to find a male to try to set her up with. I would try to find one that is ready to breed. If he is too young she may end up attacking him. I would put him in a cage next to hers for a few weeks and see how they interact through the cages, if they are interested in one another.
