Indian Sports Minister asks BCCI to take action against spot-fixing claims – Cricket News Update
The Indian sports minister, Ajay Maken, on Tuesday directed the Board of Control for Cricket in India to hold a detailed enquiry into the spot-fixing claims embroiling the ongoing season five of the lucrative Indian Premier League.
"I am sure and wish that BCCI acts fast, goes into the root cause of this problem and solves the problem in the interest of the millions of fans of cricket in our country," Maken said.
"I have just seen part of what all of you have seen in the sting operation,” the sports minister replied when asked about the details of the scam and hoped the BCCI would sort out the matter at its earliest.

from their respective IPL franchises than the prescribed auction fees.

"We will not tolerate any such thing. BCCI has zero tolerance when it comes to corruption and dope related issues. This footage is very disturbing for the BCCI," Shetty added further.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has suspended five players, allegedly involved in the spot-fixing scam. Those who have been suspended include TP Sudhindra, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abhinav-Bali-c41754.
