  1. "Indian Training" is SUPPOSE to be a common sense approach to training a horse. Instead of roping up a leg and getting on, or some of the idiotic things some people do, they take the time to gain the horses trust and respect on the ground, then work their way into the saddle.

If they actually follow an "Indian Training" idea, they have worked with the horse and the horse truly understands and respects the human's wishes assuming you have a dominance with the horse. You take the time, so the horse knows you on the ground, then you begin laying yourself gently over the horses back to get the accustomed to weight, taking time with the horse so not to over burden it or trouble it with stress. It's slow, gentle, and proves for a nicer horse.

Assuming THAT is the type of "Indian Training" they used.

  2. Are you refering to Native American training, or East Indian training?
