“He rises to the occasion. Unmukt not only played a big role in getting that hundred but also rallied the batsman around him, talking to them,” Arun said. “Communication is the key and he has got the ability to get others play around him. That makes it even more special.”
The coach also praised Baba Aparajith, who delivered at crucial times for India during the tournament, and believes that the 18-year-old has a bright future ahead of him, owing to his ability to deliver with the bat, and through his off-spin bowling.
“He has been a revelation - He makes them look so easy. He doubles up as a bowler who bowls his quota exceptionally well. He is a genuine all-rounder in the making,” the coach concluded.
