Indian batsmen are superior to those of Australia’s, feels http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kimberley-John-Hughes-c71468 – Cricket News Update
Former Australian captain, Kim Hughes believes that the Indian batting line-up is far superior to the Australian batting line-up and feels that the visitors are going to be tough opponents for the Aussie bowlers, who are inexperienced.
The first Test of the four match series between the two countries starts on December 26, 2011. Cricket analysts believe that the series is too close to call and the Australian team is still rebuilding, following the retirement of their old guard.
Two Australian fast bowlers, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Iftikhar-Ali-Khan-Pataudi-Nawab-of-c64075 Cummins have been ruled out of the series due to injuries, and their absence has meant that the Kangaroos have to field an inexperienced bowling line-up.
The former right-handed batsman, Hughes, has singled out Sehwag, as the main threat to the Australian bowlers, who is capable of changing the course of the match within a single session. However he praised the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Dravid-c2229 and
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/VVS-Laxman-c2772, who are equally capable of producing breath taking batting displays, and this, is a major advantage for India.
Hughes said, "Sehwag is possibly Australia's biggest danger because he gets http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 off to such a good positive start and he likes playing well on our true wickets. Certainly, India's batting is far superior to Australia's. (Sachin) Tendulkar is still playing
marvellously well, (Rahul) Dravid is in fantastic form, and (VVS) Laxman and Sehwag have always done well in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746."
Since the retirement of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nathan-Michael-Lyon-c78822 can face-off against the best batsmen in the world, and it
will be a real test for him. He further added that the Australian fast bowlers will have to be at their very best, if Australia is going to dismantle the strong batting line-up of India.
"Australia has got a young spinner in (Nathan) Lyon and it will be younger bowlers (James) Pattinson, (Mitchell) Starc and (Peter) Siddle who will have to carry the bulk of the bowling", he added.
