New Indian coach is excited to work with the senior Indian players in the upcoming test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760. The former English captain is new as a coach for the Indian side but is happy to win the ODI series against WI.
Fletcher says that he is satisfied and happy with the impressive performance shown by the young Indian players in the one day matches and winning the series by 3-2.
Now for the Test series starting on Monday, 20th June, the coach is looking forward to work with the senior Indian players saying he would learn more from the players then they would learn from him.
Indian coach expressed these views after the end of ODI series on Thursday 16th June happy to be the winning side but still wants his youngster to get a larger lead then to have 3-2 win at credit.
These four five matches were not enough to judge the young players and this is what he would do later with time because he wants to give players more time to prove themselves.
He calls this short time of 4-5 matches one of the reasons of few players not performing very well as they were under pressure.
Fletcher also praises the Indian bowlers for showing good performance and Captain http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SK-Raina-c2539 saying that he has put in effort being the captain even though could not do well in the series.
Furthermore, backing Raina by saying that captaincy at all levels is difficult but this struggling batsman did well. Coach also encouraged Raina and said that he can make a very good Captain with time.
Indian coach presents a positive and practical approach by declaring it a bad phase of Suresh Raina. Phases go and come by with time hence the batsman and stand-in captain for the ODIs will be able to improve. He sees great potential in him.
Suresh also commented on his performance and said its time that he fixes his flaws and practice more on nets with the coach. The stand-in captain realizes the mistakes and points out that he needs to work on his shot selection.
All he wants from his team is more concentration as he sees lack of concentration and over confidence as the reason for losing the last two games against West Indies.
