I have persistent stomach problems, and have not received very much help from doctors. I would like to try eating with spices and herbs that will help me. I was told about Deepak Chopra. I was just wondering where to start. Are there some good recipe books you would recommend. What is the most informative book on how different types of herbs heal?

  1. Most Indian food is really spicy with spices that are irritants in larger doses...you should stay away from those things if you can.

    Onions are also bad news.

But, ginger and garlic are very beneficial to both the stomach and the intestintes. Active yoghurt is extremely helpful, especially for sufferers of IBD.

Explore different recipies for Lashe if you wish to try Indian digestives. It is renown for its ability to settle and balance the digestion of people with problem colons. Saffron ginger lashe might be something you might try as well as papaya lashe.

To make lashe, blend active yoghurt with a little milk or water, sugar to taste, saffron, fruit of choice, and ginger extract.

  2. If they are because you were bulemic in the past try chewing gum.

I know I didn't answer your question, and I'm sorry, but i know many people who that tip has aided.
