You are in an intensive conversation with your friend and eating your curry when the waiter comes over and breaks into your conversation without even waiting for you to finish the word you are speaking to ask "is everything OK for you sir"

Aaargh! that is SO annoying. I have to resist the urge to punch them.

"p1ss off" I am tempted to reply to them, but I never say this.

  1. I Friggin hate that, a waitress asked my friend if his meal was ok, she sprayed when she spoke.

  2. You have to be a little more tolerant of people who want to assure that you are satisfied. You can also interrupt your " intense conversation" as the waiter approaches and answer his question. No conversation is so important that you cannot tolerate an intrusion. Unless , or course, you are spoiled and think the sun rises and falls on your domain.

  3. I don't eat out too often but have had this happen which is very annoying, i'm sure half of them hide under the table.

Same in shops when your just browsing but someone just has to come over to ask if you need help and so on, you'd think they would have something better to do than harass customers.

Nex time i'm in a restraunt and someone comes over asking i'll say "it was until you came along, p*** off" see what they answer to that. (lol)

  4. that really annoys me!!!! i no they r there to do a job but for god sake leave me to enjoy my meal yum yum : )

  5. no. i appreciate that. i find it irritating when they don't come to ask. plus thats part of their job...

  6. Oh my god, a waiter that is concerned if your meal is OK. The horror. What are you discussing, btw, world peace? your upcoming heart surgery?

When exactly is he supposed to ask if your alright? when the conversation, and possibly THE MEAL is finished?

    Get over yourself.

  7. in a good restaurant they don't ask you if everything is OK, they KNOW

you could say "everything was OK until you interrupted our conversation"

  8. Wow. I guess it would be much cooler if they could magically sense when you needed something, or are about to pause your conversation.

wtf is wrong with you? or is that your excuse not to tip?

  9. Unfortunately it's restaurant policy  in many places. Some places  require their staff to ask at least once during a meal if  everything is OK. . As a customer I hated it when it  happened to me, I am  of the "thanks for the food and the service now @#$% off and leave me to enjoy it " school. As a server I used a  bit of common sense and waited  for the right moment  to ask customers that  question and if that moment didn't come  I would  just keep an eye on the table  and  make eye contact  with the customer. They would always  let me know if  things weren't OK  or  if they needed something else.

  10. it don't p1ss me off. i just say fine thanks, and then carry on the chat. are you easy distracted then.

the  next time you have a curry, plan in your mind that he will be coming to you to see if all is ok, you might not get narked next time

  11. They are just doing their job a*****e..did you tip?  Do you know how much waiters make an hour without tips? $2.15 and they have to put up with ***** like you all d**n day.. Get over it show a little humility and to quote 'wAiting' don't **** with the people who handle your food!

  12. I'm sure you will find that this happens in all restaurants not just Indian restaurants.

  13. Don't come to my restaurant, Waiters have other customers too. If they waited for everyone to finish talking nothing would get done. Some wait-persons have twenty tables, this is a lot of "waiting" for people to finish a sentenced.

  14. Oh wah wah cry me a river. At least the server is trying to make sure everything is ok, instead of ignoring you.  If this is your biggest complaint in like consider yourself blessed, and find something better to whine about.

And no, food servers are not your servant.  We happen to be human beings too with thoughts, feelings, and rights. And if you ever punched them for asking you a simple question, I guarantee that you'd be in a world of legal hurt.

  15. i agree with School's out... you as a costumer dont see the behind the scenes things that go on... we have  other tables... be happy we are coming to check on you!   some one comes up to your table yet you keep talking... and we are rude?

  16. Oh gimme a break you whiner. You are there to EAT and CONVERSE with friends. When exactly am I supposed to ask if everything is OK? I have other stuff to do besides wait for YOU to finish a sentence or chew your food. Do I just stand there and listen to your conversation and wait for a break in it so I, your lowly servant, may speak??

Wow, you're truly an idiot. It's server, not servant.

    Good Job, "Mommy"

  17. ...But what if everything wasn't okay?? You'd be even more pissed off if you had to put your petty conversation on hold to flag down your server to complain about something. If you want to have such an intimate conversation then maybe you should do it in private. You shouldn't whine about someone trying to do there job correctly.  You are not the only person in the restaurant so don't expect everything to be at purely your convenience.  Furthermore if that's all it takes to get on your sh*t list, take a chill pill and a nap because some one is a little on edge.
