Indian team for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 Tests announced
The Indian team for the Test series against New Zealand has been announced and will see the return of opening batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ishant-Sharma-c64566, all
of whom missed the second Test match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 at Bangalore recently due to injuries.
This means that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Murali-Vijay-c78035, who had played in place of Gambhir and slammed a ton and Cheteshwar Pujara, who had scored a half-century batting instead of Laxman, will both be relegated to carrying drinks.
Amit Mishra and Sreesanth will be the other reserve players in this 15-member squad.
Gambhir and Ishant had missed the previous Test match due to a knee injury while Laxman had sustained back spasms and could not play at Bangalore. Laxman had scored a match-winning and a series-turning knock
of half-century in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750’s chase of 216 against Australia but had to bat through most part of his innings with a runner.
The Indian selectors have also dropped Wriddhiman Saha from the line-up and that means that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 seems to have recovered from the back trouble that he had in the Australia series. He fumbled many times
in the first Test match with his finger injury aggravating the issue. However, Dhoni was much better with the gloves in the second game.
Chairman of selectors, Kris Srikkanth said, "The team had performed extremely well against the Australians in both the Tests and one-day series. Particularly, the Bangalore Test was the icing on the cake.
The junior players have gelled well with the seniors. I am confident that our players will continue their victory march."
India play New Zealand in a three Test match series. The three Test matches will be played from November 4 and will see no break in the middle. The first game will be held in Ahmedabad, followed by one at
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792 and Nagpur.
