Indiana Pacers give Blake Ahearn a training camp contract; Brooklyn Nets still search for a training facility

Blake Ahearn given a training camp contract by the Indiana Pacers

According to latest reports, Blake Ahearn and the Indiana Pacers have reached an agreement on a short term contract which will span through the training camp period. The exact financial details have not been revealed yet.
Since his arrival in the NBA, Ahearn has only appeared in 19 NBA games and has been a part of three different organizations in that time. He was offered a 10 day contract by the Utah Jazz last season but was only able to feature
in 4 games.
Apart from moving from one NBA franchise to another, the 28 year old has spent time in the D-League in which has been rather successful considering his NBA career disappointments. In January, Ahearn became the D-League’s all time
top scorer. Unfortunately though, he has been unable to carry on his scoring prowess to the bigger league and a training camp contract with the Pacers may be all there will be to it this season.
The Pacers already have enough players to fill into their back-court rotation which includes the likes of recently re-signed George Hill, D.J. Augustin, Paul George, Gerald Green, Lance Stephenson and Orlando Johnson.
Brooklyn Nets till haven’t found a training facility

The Brooklyn Net officially relocated from New Jersey during the summer with plans of moving their training facilities shortly afterwards.
But so far, the newest franchise in the NBA has been unsuccessful in their cause and therefore the likes of Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace along with other Nets players have to take a 40 minute drive back to New
Jersey in order to practice.
General Manager Billy King announced last year that the team will be moving its training facility to Brooklyn in the 2013-2014 campaign. However, at the moment, the search for a possible location is still ongoing and no success
has been achieved so far.
