Indiana Pacers hand out a double digit defeat to Miami Heat – NBA Recap
On Monday night Indiana Pacers rolled on to a 2 game winning streak by handing Miami Heat a double digit, 105-90 defeat here at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
For the 8th time in this season all Pacers starters recorded a double figure score, led by Danny Granger who tallied a game high 25 points to go with 9 boards. Darren Collison poured in 20 while Paul George recorded
a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Reserve Leandro Barbosa chipped in with 14 and forward David West had 12 rebounds along with 10 points. To secure Indian’s confidence-building victory Roy Hibbert came up with 11 points.  
To out gun the best in business is certainly a triumphed accomplishment and Coach Frank Vogel lavished his players with adulation.
"Our guys had a determination that they weren't going to be denied tonight, we’re competing at a high level. We're looking forward to making a serious run at the end of the season and be one of the hottest teams going into the
playoffs."
Miami Heat are struggling on the road, 15-11, in this season, they skidded down to a 2 game losing streak after this game even though they have beaten Pacers in the last 3 encounters.
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade netted 24 apiece while forward Chris Bosh tallied 14 and Mario Chalmers poured in 13 points in Miami’s 13th defeat of the season.
Heat had their 2nd back to back double digit defeat. They lost to Oklahoma City Thunder, 103-87 earlier on Sunday. However their coach Erik Spoelstra graded it as a bad spell.
"Sometimes, you go through these spells in an NBA season and it's a struggle,"
Pacers opened the game with style claiming an 11-5 lead early in the frame. However the game remained neck to neck afterwards and Heat managed to trim down their lead to 24-19 late into the frame. James came up with a pair of deuce
along with a 3- pointer to tie the scores at 24 each by the end of 1st quarter.
Heat blasted their way into the 2nd with a 14-8 run and raced away out of the stalemate taking a 38-32 lead. Pacers rebutted that with a 6-nothing sprint and tied the scores at 38 deep through the frame. After some back
forth action Indiana managed to cap off the 1st half with a slender 49-46 advantage.
Indiana claimed a double-digit 56-46 advantage early in the 3rd stanza. With 7 unanswered points they cruised through the segment and with 3:43 in hand they were leading the scores with 68-60.
The hosts reeled off a 10-4 run to enjoy a double-digit 78-65 lead by the end of 3rd.
Indiana faced no difficulty in widening the gap to 101-87 deep through the decisive frame and the hapless Heat could only reduce the margin of their defeat to 105-90 by the end of 4th quarter.
