Indiana Pacers use a balanced attack to trounce Los Angeles Clippers - NBA Recap

Angeles Clippers, 102-89 at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Danny Granger was pivotal in the win with 25 points while Tyler Hansbrough collected 17 coming off the bench. Reserve George Hill netted 15 points to go with a team high 6 assists for the Pacers
Roy Hibbert chipped in with 13 while Barbosa netted 12 points in 18 plus minutes. He was all praise for the support he received from his team mates.
"My teammates, they really helped me to be comfortable out there. First of all, I'm very happy to get the first win at home. I was very excited to play with the second group, it's an energy group and we run like crazy so it was
enjoyable. And to see the fans cheering for us when we bring that energy was just great. I'm very happy to be here."
Blake Griffin led the scorers in Los Angeles with 23 points and 10 rebounds while Chris Paul came up with 16 points. Guard Nick Young recorded 13 and Caron Butler along with Maurice Williams tallied 12. Clippers had their 2 game
winning streak halted after the loss.
The opening frame was highly competitive. The Clippers managed a 30-23 margin late but the Pacers neutralized that with an 8-1 run and tied the scores at 31 each by the end of 1st quarter. Nick Young, who was also playing
his first game with the Clippers after being traded from the Washington Wizards, opened the second quarter with a jumper, but the Pacers pulled off a 13-3 run in response and grabbed a 44-36 advantage.
Deep through the second, after the away side managed to trim the deficit down to 45-43, Indiana raced away with a 9-2 spurt. By the end of 1st half they were leading at 54-46.
Pacers opened the game up in the second half. They were also brilliant from the charity stripe, connecting on 92.3% in contrast to just 45% from the Clips.
Clippers opened the 3rd period with a 9-2 run and shaved off the deficit to just one point 56-55 but Indiana left them startled with a huge 17-7 run to build a double digit 73-62 lead. They capped of the segment with
a 78-66 advantage.
After gathering impetus in the third, the Pacers went on punishing the Clippers in the last frame. They ballooned their advantage to 93-74 early in the 4th and then cruised to a win.
