Indianapolis Colts’ Mike McGlynn flays Detroit Lions Ndamukong Suh’s over Winston Justice injury
The National Football League (NFL) took much time to decide if Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh’s hit on Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub was intentional and he should be fined, but a few days after he was slapped with $30,000 penalty,
Suh has once again drawn criticism over his on-field actions and this time it is the Indianapolis Colts who have lashed out at the player over his foul play.
According to Colts centre Mike McGlynn, Suh and party were laughing and dancing over knocking down Colts offensive tackle Winston Justice on the ground, which the player calls were childish and cheap actions.
It is significant to note that Justice suffered a concussion during the knock. The incident took place when Lions CB Don Carey intercepted Colts quarterback Andrew Luck.
McGlynn said:
"Totally ignorant on their part, just childish stuff. We're all battling out there; I don't know if the hit was legal or not, but clearly he was hurt, and they're out there dancing and pointing at him and laughing. Just blatant disrespect. They're good players,
but there's no room for that. It's disgusting, really."
Other players too have called Suh’s actions unethical and uncalled for. They have also drawn the leagues’ attention towards it and said they player should be fined, as soon after being penalised has played another dirty trick. It means he is hard to be disciplined
and he deserves more punishment.
Meanwhile, Suh has defended himself in the latest incident calling his reputation, as a dirty player was unjustified. He claimed that he has always played safe and did not attempt to hurt any other player deliberately.
However, some commentators do not agree with Suh’s claim, saying he should have been suspended in the first place, when he was reported of foul plays versus the Houston Texans last week. They said it was a cheap shot that the player was celebrating of another
player’s serious injury, and this makes him commit a rather serious mistake.
